This “Great Tribulation Timeline” chart looks convincing at first glance, but when you actually compare it to Scripture, many of its claims are assumptions added into the text rather than plainly stat

Here are some major issues with the timeline:

1️⃣ The Bible never says the Great Tribulation lasts 7 years.

Revelation repeatedly mentions:

👉👉 42 months

👉👉 1260 days

👉👉 “time, times and half a time”

That equals about 3½ years, not seven.

Revelation 11:2-3 KJV

👉👉forty and two months

Revelation 13:5 KJV

👉👉forty and two months

Daniel’s 70th week is being interpreted through a system, not directly stated as a future 7-year tribulation period.

2️⃣ The chart teaches a pre-tribulation rapture.

But Jesus said the gathering happens AFTER the tribulation.

Matthew 24:29-31 KJV

👉👉Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days…

👉👉he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect

The Bible does not clearly teach two separate comings of Christ: • one secret • one visible later

Instead, Scripture consistently connects: 👉 resurrection 👉 trumpet 👉 gathering 👉 Christ appearing

as one event.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV

1 Corinthians 15:52 KJV

3️⃣ Revelation 4:1 is NOT the rapture.

People often use:

👉👉 “Come up hither”

to claim the Church was raptured.

But the verse simply says John was taken into a vision.

Revelation 4:1 KJV

👉👉I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven…

Nothing in the text says: • the Church disappeared • believers were raptured • this is the catching away

That is added interpretation.

4️⃣ The timeline divides Christ’s return into stages.

The chart teaches: • secret coming • seven years later visible coming

But Jesus describes ONE return after tribulation.

Matthew 24:30-31 KJV

Paul also connects: 👉 gathering unto Christ 👉 revealing of the man of sin

in the same sequence.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 KJV

5️⃣ The Antichrist in a rebuilt temple is assumed.

The chart treats this as unquestionable fact.

But Christians debate whether: 👉 the temple is literal 👉 symbolic 👉 or referring to God’s people

1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV

👉👉ye are the temple of God

6️⃣ The whole 7 years are labeled “God’s Wrath.”

But Jesus called it: 👉👉 “great tribulation”

caused by persecution.

Matthew 24:21 KJV

Tribulation and wrath are not necessarily identical things.

7️⃣ The chart presents one interpretation as though all Christians agree.

But faithful believers hold different views: • Premillennial • Amillennial • Postmillennial

The chart never tells you it is presenting a specific theological system called dispensationalism.

The biggest issue is this:

The Bible never lays out this detailed timeline in one single place.

The chart is built by combining verses from: 👉 Daniel 👉 Matthew 👉 Thessalonians 👉 Revelation

and arranging them into a system.

Acts 17:11 KJV

👉👉They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Always test every teaching by Scripture, not by charts.
